Girl in the City

New day, new clothes and new plans. Counting the starts in the night was always her favorite thing to do but new career had changed everything for her. She never thought that her new job would make her so busy that she wouldn't even get time to think. Days and nights passed without saying goodbye.

All her friends had scattered into different cities and had almost forgotten their past life. She wanted to do the same and tried too hard but there was always one thing that kept her from doing that,  her oldest friend and never forgotten love. The day she came to know about his marriage was the day she felt most lonely but it made her laugh over herself, the things she had planned and thought of ending up together went up in the air in fumes in-front of her eyes. Nikita was lost in her thoughts while coming out of the office just when she met Avinash Kundra. Oh! those dark eyes had taken her breath away for a second.

You know when you think that everything in your life is sorted out and everything just runs smoothly. You have no negative thoughts and everything is figured out. Well, that was my life a few months back. this is the silence before the storm hits and then everything gets blurry, damaged beyond recognition. You have no words to describe this and nobody to understand or share this pain. This is when you feel most lonely. Life teaches you all the lessons in strangest ways possible. This time it taught me the bitterest lesson of all. DEATH .

Now I know when everything in life is so uncertain there is on ting with utmost certainty that lingers around without being noticed. You think its not possible, its just something you her around and you never think that it might happen to you someday. This is the experience that makes you realize that everything doesn't pan out the way we want it to rather it has its own way of unrolling. Procrastination goes off the list as you don't know which day will be your last day.

It also teaches one of the most said but seldom realized facts that it doesn't matter how well or large your life is, the day you leave each and everything will be left behind and all you get is a 6 meter white cloth to wrap around. This fact cannot be taught. One has to realize this on their own. And the ones you leave behind, their life turns upside down forever.

What happens when you meet a person and you just want to meet him again and the craving continues, you search for them everyday...that is exactly what happened with me. After meeting Avinash all i could think about is his smile (and the body ofcource!). I started looking at the Wipro main gate at exact same time we had met earlier but to my misfortune, I didn't see him for so many days that i started forgetting about him, until one  day he appeared before me during lunch time with some of his friends. As he had many people around him he chose to ignore me and went away, and i thought " Well, what a jerk! ". I had an idea that all handsome men are jerks, but got to see one now.So I finished my lunch and got off the table to leave. After some time I realised my purse wad missing and as i turned around Avinash was coming towards me with my purse in his hand. This time I chose to ignore him and pretended that I didnt know him, therefore he asked in bewilderment..." Hey, do you recognise me" and I said, "I am sorry, have we met before?".."uuhh, we met on the street the other day,it was raining...remember".
"oh yes...now i get it..hi! I am getting late so see you around." saying that I left with a large smile of victory. Well that sounds stupid now...I should have taken his number...damn!.
